The Brain is like a mosaic

Have you ever seen a mosaic picture? From far away it looks like a single object, but if you look at it up close you can see it made up of many tiny pieces. The brain is similar in that it is made of many tiny brain cells. All the cells in the brain are linked to each other. Unlike humans who have just two hands, brain cells have ten, even twenty “hands” that can be easily linked together.

Why do they need to be linked? Imagine you and your classmates are in a circle holding hands. When you feel your hand being squeezed by the person to your right, you squeeze the hand of the person to your left. I start by squeezing the hand of the person to may left, and this immediately passed on down the line. The brain send information in the same way, from the first cell to the last cell. It’s something like playing the “telephone” game, but in the case of the brain, the information never changes on the way. What is your depth of understanding? It is the brain activating brain cells that are linked each other, and sending information in this way.
